Total Vacancies
SSC has announced approximately 12,256 vacancies under SSC CGL 2026. These vacancies will be distributed across various ministries, departments, constitutional bodies, and government offices. Detailed post-wise vacancies will be released separately by SSC.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or institution. Some specialized posts may require additional qualifications such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Commerce as a subject.
Age Limit (As on 01 August 2026)
The age limit varies according to the post:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 32 Years

Selection Process
SSC CGL 2026 selection will be conducted in the following stages:
Tier-I Examination
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Qualifying in nature for shortlisting
Tier-II Examination
- Computer Based Test
- Final merit preparation based on Tier-II performance
Document Verification will be conducted after qualifying the examination stages.
